Worksite Enrollment Services' Principals
Karen Tobias – President/CEO
Karen started her 20+ career in the Voluntary Benefits marketplace in 1991, in Columbia, South Carolina, by joining Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Company, a leader in voluntary, employee-paid payroll deducted products. Karen quickly became a top producer, garnering the prestigious top producer Hall of Fame award, Rookie of the Year, and Founder of the Year awards all in her Rookie year. Other awards include numerous President Club Awards, Leadership Club Awards, Agent of the Year Awards, Recruiter of the Year awards.
Karen has an intense desire for all employers to understand the value of allowing their employees to obtain catastrophic insurance to help defray the costs associated with fighting a persistent, deadly disease like cancer. Having had a Critical Illness policy herself when diagnosed with breast cancer, Karen understands the importance of these plans. Karen understands firsthand how difficult it is to face cancer surgery, chemo treatments, radiation, and extensive recovery periods; having a CI plan reduced the financial worry. She is particularly supportive of plans with Wellness Benefits – early detection saves lives!
Karen started WORKSITE ENROLLMENT SERVICES in 1997 to focus on helping employees understand the value of voluntary benefits through communication and education. Karen has a Masters Degree in English Education, and believes employees deserve to understand their options and to receive professional help in maneuvering their way through so many insurance plans and options.
Dr. Keith S. Tobias – Ed. D./CFO
Keith Tobias has over 30 years experience in business consulting, and has been instrumental in helping businesses streamline their IT departments. Keith co-founded Worksite Enrollment Services LLC with his wife, Karen, in 1997. Keith provides insurance and financial consulting services for individuals and businesses. Keith designs employee benefit plans and executive compensation plans.
Keith obtained a doctorate in Education with particular emphasis on curriculum development. He brings this expertise to major account enrollments, interfacing with Human Resource departments on employee benefit education and training programs.
As CFO, Keith handles the financial forecasting for enrollments and for WES's operations.
Keith enjoys many activities, but particularly enjoys research and building curriculums, and camping across TN and KY and riding his Tennessee Walking Horse with his wife, Karen.
Vicki Kendall – Senior Field Coordinator/CSM
As the Senior Field Coordinator, Vicki manages the connections between the broker, the client, and the carriers involved before, during, and after an enrollment. She is the face of the coordination team and meets with clients to discuss the details of how the enrollment will flow and what the requirements are to achieve successful benefits communication via online enrolling and memos/flyers. She collects all the necessary data from both the client and the current carriers so the enrollment process can flow smoothly. She generates daily, weekly and all post-enrollment reports and sends them to the carriers and broker to keep everyone informed of the enrollment's progress.
Vicki has an extensive customer service and management background from her days in the luxury jewelry business. She services all existing clients on an as-needed basis and helps to develop new relationships via telemarketing tactics and face to face interaction.
Vicki lives in Murfreesboro, TN, along with her husband, Dustin, and her daughter, Chloe Lynn. Her favorite hobbies are horseback riding, reading, and spending time with her family.
